About my first job

Last month, I resigned from my first job in UK, It’s a part-time job in a restaurant named Yummy in Pontypridd. In fact it was my first job in my life, in fact I was not interested in this job, although I really like the delicious food, I don’t like staying in the kitchen. But I still studied a lot of things from there, maybe it was my first job, I know some way how to stay with the new guys, and the new manager, boss who are all good people in this small restaurant. They told me many things and taught me most of the thing of the stage, now I know how to boiling the chips, chicken and cod, how to make the chip, and the potato, after the third time, the manager asked me to studying how to wait the customers, it was a little be difficult for a new guy. But it’s not the main result which made me lost this job, because after me worked, it took me very strong change for my studying life, every times I finished the job until 12:30, but I often needed go to the class in the morning. I still liked 2-3times every week. And there was a good reason why I left there, I didn’t get a good pay from there, the boss just give me less than 4 pounds every times, I work in night, and I just he paid me 5.5pounds.
Conclusion, I want to say I not for the money lost my job, I thought about my living and my studying, and I was not interested in there. But I still studied many things from there, at last, I want to say thanked to guys who worked in Yummy, they are all good people. I think I don’t work until I finish IPG studying.

Hi Chen

Welcome back to the Blog!!

I'm glad to hear your job helped you to learn many things!!

There is a 'legal' minimum wage that employers MUST pay. So if an employer offers you less, he or she is going against the law!!

I hope now that you aren't working you are now able to focus more on your studies.
